A project pushed by former Intel graphics-chief Raja Koduri to create a Custom Compute Group within the AXG graphics unit to support its Bitcoin ASICs has been mothballed.

Executive Vice President of Intel's  AXG business unit, Raja Koduri, will return to his previous role as an Intel Chief Architect after the unit has been divided in a surprise shakeup.
