Flash Player 10.1 delayed until 2H 2010

Android, BlackBerry, and WebOS will wait
Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen has confirmed that Flash 10.1 for the Android, BlackBerry and WebOS platforms is being moved back till the second-half of this year, according to an interview that the CEO did with Fox Business on Sunday.
While the focus of the interview was the launch of Creative Suite 5 by the company, he did drop what is likely to be major news about the delay during the interview. While he did not touch on the specifics of the delay, he did mention that we will see Flash for tablet devices. Sources tell us that his reference to tablet devices getting flash was targeted at the upcoming tablet devices that will be running Android and Chrome, not the Apple iPad at this time.
Flash support has become quite a big deal for many of the mobile platforms and something that a good number of users are said to be requesting. While it is unclear exactly what the delay might be, moles are suggesting that it could be that Adobe is waiting for upcoming updates to drop prior to making Flash available for these platforms; and it has been suggested that Adobe would like to release Flash for these platforms all at once in order to gain maximum impact and platform coverage.
