If you need to use a device in a battery-operated environment, then power consumption plays a critical role. But Qualcomm thinks that 5G deployment is happening much faster than was the case with 4G and wants to expand the reach to the Snapdragon 700 and even 600 series.

Qualcomm’s President Cristiano Amon has announced that way beyong its Snapdragon 800 series with 5G support, Qualcomm will announce Snapdragon 7 and 6 generations with 5G support in 2020.
