Lowers temperatures by 1-3°C
Noctua has now officially launched the new offset mounting system for installing Noctua CPU coolers on AMD AM5 processors. These were quite popular at the Computex 2023 show where Noctua had officially showcased that mounting system, as it came as a surprise that offsetting the base of the cooler by 7mm to the south side can lower the temperature by 1-3°C.
Removes the "i" for upcoming Meteor Lake processors
Intel has now officially announced the name change for its client-segment Core desktop and mobile processors, calling it the biggest brand update in 15 years. Starting with the upcoming Meteor Lake processors, the Intel client branding structure will no longer include the famous "i", but rather just stick with numbers and Core Ultra for its high-end lineup. Intel is also updating its badge designs for Intel Evo and vPro notebooks.

AMD unveiled plenty of new products during its Data Center and AI Technology Premiere event in San Francisco, including some details about its 5nm EPYC Bergamo processors for cloud native applications. Shipping now, these EPYC CPUs pack 82b transistors, up to 128 Zen 4c cores, and promise both "the greatest vCPU density and the best energy efficiency.
