WhatsApp sues Israeli spyware company
Hacked 1,400 WhatsApp users
WhatsApp has alleged in new court filings that an Israeli spyware company used US-based servers and was “deeply involved” in carrying out mobile phone hacks of 1,400 WhatsApp users, including senior government officials, journalists, and human rights activists.
Xiaomi denies it
Cybersecurity researcher Gabi Cirlig discovered that his Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 smartphone was watching much of what he was doing and sending that data to remote servers hosted by Chinese tech giant Alibaba, which were ostensibly rented by Xiaomi.

In addition to the global launch of two new Redmi smartphones, Xiaomi also unveiled a rather interesting Mi Note 10 Lite smartphone, which packs quite a lot of features at a rather affordable price point, including a curved AMOLED screen, and a 64-megapixel Sony main sensor, all starting at €349.
Xiaomi implements Qualcomm's GPU driver updates
Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro and Redmi K30 Pro first to get it
The big news during Qualcomm's annual Snapdragon technology summit was mobile gaming and its Elite Gaming set of desktop-level features, including an updatable GPU drivers, and while there was only a handful of supported devices, Xiaomi is now hopping on that train with its Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro and Redmi K30 Pro smartphones.

Xiaomi has officially announced the global launch of the Redmi Note 9 and the Redmi Note 9 Pro smartphones. Both smartphones live up to the Redmi brand, bringing a lot of bang for the buck.
