The card in question comes from Gigabyte, and it is part of Gigabyte's AI TOP series, featuring a custom blower-style cooler that should be more rack-friendly. As caught by Videocardz.com, a Reddit user managed to find it in retail. Several AMD AIB partners have announced their own Radeon AI PRO R9700 graphics cards, including ASRock, Powercolor, Gigabyte, and others, so it is not a big surprise that some have found their way to retail/e-tail.
In case you missed it, AMD announced the Radeon AI PRO R9700 as the card for professional AI at the edge. It uses a 4nm Navi 48 GPU with 64 compute units, for a total of 4096 Stream processors, and 128 AI accelerators. AMD paired it up with 32GB of 20Gbps GDDR6 memory on a 256-bit memory interface, adding up to 640GB/s of memory bandwidth. According to AMD, the performance peaks at 96 TFLOPs of FP16 throughput, and up to 1,531 AI TOPS (INT4 sparse).
The AMD Radeon AI PRO R9700 was originally scheduled to be available in July 2025 to OEMs and system integrators, so it only took it a month to reach the retail/e-tail channel.
