Free upgrade for CS:GO

Valve has now officially launched Counter-Strike 2, calling it the largest technical leap in Counter-Strike’s history. Built on the Source 2 engine, CS 2 brings plenty of new features including improved visuals, better smoke grenades, and most importantly, a whole new sub-tick architecture.

Coming in summer 2023

After a couple of rumors earlier, Valve has now officially confirmed and announced Counter-Strike 2. Based on Source 2 Engine, Valve calls it the "largest technical leap forward in Counter-Strike’s history".
