The report, which analyses processor and graphics market trends, highlights AMD’s continued growth in key segments, with year-on-year and quarter-on-quarter increases across its product lines.

AMD's latest market performance underscores its increasing competitiveness against Intel. The company closed the most recent quarter with a 35.5 per cent share of server revenue, marking a 3.7 percentage point increase year-on-year and a 1.6 percentage point rise quarter-on-quarter. Server unit share also rose by 2.0 percentage points year-on-year and 0.9 percentage points quarter-on-quarter.

In the client processor segment, AMD secured 23.8 per cent revenue share, an 8.4 percentage point increase compared to the previous year and a 2.1 percentage point rise quarter-on-quarter. Client unit share similarly climbed by 4.5 percentage points year-on-year and 0.7 percentage points quarter-on-quarter.

Further breakdowns show that AMD’s desktop revenue share surged by 12.1 percentage points year-on-year and 0.9 percentage points quarter-on-quarter. Mobile revenue share followed a similar trend, rising by 6.5 percentage points year-on-year and 2.4 percentage points quarter-on-quarter.

AMD’s revenue share reached 28.2 per cent, up by 6.7 percentage points year-on-year and 1.8 percentage points quarter-on-quarter, while its overall unit share increased by 4.3 percentage points year-on-year and 0.7 percentage points quarter-on-quarter.

The Mercury Research data suggests that AMD’s sustained market expansion has been driven by strong performance in both server and client processor markets.
